[music]Hi, I'm Brent Coon. I'm the founder of Brent Coon & Associates. I specialize in handing cases for individuals who've been exposed to silica and suffer from its crippling effects. We've helped many families whose loved ones have been devastated by the effects of silica and its related diseases.
Silica is a component of sand, used in many industrial applications. Silica becomes airborne when sandblasters blast sand at high rates of speed to clean any number of items, when workers make silica flour, and in various foundry operations.
Occupational exposure to crystalline silica can cause a lung disease known as, "Silicosis." There are other health problems, which are related to exposure to crystalline silica including lung cancer, tuberculosis and various autoimmune diseases. These diseases are almost always progressive and sometimes fatal.
