[music]Hi, I'm Jason Cansler, and I'm a trial lawyer at Brent Coon and Associates. I specialize in handling cases for individuals who have been exposed to silica and suffer from its crippling effects. We have helped many families whose loved ones have been devastated by the effects of silica and its related diseases.
Silica is a component of sand used in many industrial applications. Silica becomes airborne when sand blasters blast sand at high rates of speed to clean any number of items, when workers mix silica flour, and in various foundry operations.
Occupational exposure to crystalline silica can cause a lung disease known as silicosis. There are other health problems that are related to exposure to crystalline silica, including lung cancer, tuberculosis, and various autoimmune diseases. These diseases are almost always progressive and sometimes fatal.
